Chicken Breasts. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say these inexpensive staples can become rather predictable over time, yet these remain mainstays in our family dinners – I just try my hardest to spice things up every now and then!

My recipe library of chicken dishes ranges from casseroles and tacos, through grilled rooster and caesar salad, back again again to casseroles, tacos and caesar salad, then greens with various cheeses or bacon for every occasion imaginable – I’ve even filled mushrooms with shredded chicken meat while placing cooked pieces onto pizza!

My children enjoy eating chicken for dinner regularly and my middle daughter particularly likes breaded or dinosaur-shaped versions of it, while gradually opening herself up to try different forms like sandwiches and salad.

    Elements for Slicing Rooster Breasts
Start with boneless and skinless chicken breasts before selecting from amongst the many methods mentioned for cutting.

Pink onion – Any small onion will do, just select one according to its style and your needs.

Garlic Powder- While minced garlic remains most desirable, garlic powder will do in an emergency situation.

Current Spinach – Efficient way of adding some much-needed vitamins into your weight reduction strategy!

Tomatoes – Cherry or smaller tomatoes work particularly well when cutting dice up larger tomatoes for use as cut tomatoes are similarly effective.

Feta cheese – Crumbled feta provides an irresistibly salty and creamy experience, creating the ultimate indulgent bite-sized treat!

Salt as necessary and olive oil to drizzle at the ends of each feather of a chicken’s feathers.

As part of my Greek Salsa recipe, I prepared a vegetable-based filling made up of onions, garlic, spinach and tomatoes; while only feta cheese added rich saltiness. That combination creates my Greek salsa which also works perfectly as an accompanying side dish! For easier consumption I make pitas from fathead dough for scooping it all up!

If you are dairy-free, this recipe can easily be altered by simply leaving out the feta. I suggest increasing salt to compensate for its absence by upping it by 1/2 to 1 teaspoon for optimal results.

Step One of How to Prepare Stuffed Greek Rooster is Preheating Your Oven

Step Two: Use a food processor to finely mince garlic before adding spinach, tomatoes, feta and 1/2 teaspoon salt and pulse until chopped. Alternately you may cut by hand then transfer directly into a small bowl to mix before finishing up by hand with your spoon or mixer.

Step Three: Divide the spinach mixture between four prepared chicken breasts, drizzle them with olive oil, and top them off with any additional seasoning (i.e. salt) desired. Bake them at 425 F for 35 minutes, until their internal temperatures have reached 160.

    Variations
Herbs such as dill and oregano make for tasty additions to the filling.

Substitute Kale or Escarole for Spinach

Stovetop: Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat with no lid to begin the searing process for your chicken breasts and reduce to low once covered before turning up to 160 as measured with a meat thermometer.

Have You Never Stuffed Rooster Breasts
Are You New to Stuffing Rooster Breasts
When it comes to stuffing rooster breasts before, you might be amazed at just how easy the task can be. While there are various methods such as thinly pounding them and pocket stuffing them with tissue paper (my preferred approach), for ease I use cutting through each of the breasts numerous times with a sharp knife so as to roll open like an American Sub Roll and place into position in your pocket for easier opening and use (my preferred approach!).

Should you opt for pounding your chicken, I offer more details in my Keto Stuffed Rooster Breasts post on how to do that. Personally, when making that dish with Daria as my co-chef during cooking days I opt to pound all of it myself; otherwise when cooking alone or for my family and children alone butterflying will suffice instead for making Stuffed Greek-Style Chicken Breasts instead.

How to Butterfly a Rooster Breast for Stuffing
First I place the breast on a chopping board. Next I lay my hand flat against its center, placing my knife flat against my hand as I slice horizontally along its thin edges first, leaving thicker parts barely attached.

At this point, I flip over the bird and use stuffing to stuff its breast with stuffing.

Flip it closed and pack in all of the different gadgets you may require for storage.

Another method for stuffing rooster, that works well with this recipe, is Hasselback style stuffing. In Hasselback rooster you simply create slits at the top and stuff down into those spaces your filling, as seen here with my Hasselback Rooster Recipe featuring zucchini bacon cheese filling!

At what temperature should chicken be cooked and safe to consume?
A meat thermometer provides the easiest method for finding out. As soon as its needle reaches 165 F, that should signal it’s time to remove from oven.

What different ingredients could also be included in this Greek chicken filleting recipe?
No one needs an exact plan when making cheese fondue; do whatever works for you. Change up the type and variety of cheese used (from mozzarella to other varieties). Add in salty elements by including some kalamata olives as an optional extra.

Garnish the dish with parsley or squeeze of fresh lemon juice for an elegant presentation.

What to Serve With Greek Stuffed Rooster Breasts
I kept dinner simple by roasting some broccoli during my rooster’s preparation time. For best results, to roast broccoli I mixed florets in avocado oil and salt before spreading out on an expansive baking sheet before roasting until soft with crispy edges; these crunchy edges might just be my favourite part!
