    Components Needed
What components will I require in order to bake chicken breasts successfully?

Boneless skinless chicken breasts with extra-virgin olive oil, salt & black pepper, garlic powder and paprika – that’s it! This easy combination of spices is both simple yet flavorful; add any additional herbs you’d like – like oregano, thyme or sage for even greater depth of flavour!

Instead, for an authentic Thanksgiving style meal you must use store-bought or homemade poultry seasoning (don’t forget the salt in this case as most poultry seasoning doesn’t contain it!)

    How to Bake Chicken Breasts

    1. Assemble the baking tray.

    Preheat the oven to 400oF.

Pour one tablespoon of olive oil onto a small rimmed baking sheet or glass baking dish. Place chicken breasts onto this surface, and rub both sides of each breast in order to evenly cover both with oil (if using larger pan, more olive oil may need to be applied so it covers evenly). If using larger pan, more oil may need to be applied until evenly spread across its entirety).

    1. Season. In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika until evenly distributed throughout. Once this process has completed, set it aside.

Spread half the seasoning over the chicken breasts on your pan. Rub this seasoning into their surface before flipping them and seasoning their other side using any remaining seasoning; ensure an even coat.

    1. Bake.
Preheat the pan in the oven and begin the baking process, followed by using a meat thermometer to check its doneness after 25-30 minutes of preparation time. Typically thin or small chicken breasts won’t need as long to bake – just remember it’s always better to take an extra minute or so when checking doneness, because no one wants overcooked rooster!

Flip your chicken breasts so both sides become evenly covered in juices, then return them to the oven to bake for five more minutes if your breasts are 1-inch thick (a total timeframe of around 20 minutes should suffice).

If the thickness of your chicken breasts approaches 1 1/2 inches, they’ll most likely require 4-5 extra minutes in preparation time to produce dinner in 24-25 minutes.

Tip: When cooking chicken, always use an instantaneous read thermometer. Although USDA suggests you reach an internal temperature of 165oF before taking out of the oven, its surface area still continues to heat and cook after resting on its pan if pulled from it early. Take it out when its thickness reaches 160oF on its thickest part (I like checking with an instant read thermometer instead of guesstimating time based on guesswork), as this should allow additional cooking. You could cover with foil during this period but honestly I never do and still manages perfectly cooked results!

    1. Enjoy! Once the chicken has rested on the pan, you are free to slice and serve! Enjoy it as the centerpiece for an epic feast alongside one or more sides (such as potato salad!) or use as an ingredient in salad or quinoa bowl dishes!

Leftover cooked rooster can also be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for three or four days before using them to make delicious chicken salad!

How Can You Season Rooster There are various seasonings which work great with chicken; try including 1/4 teaspoon each of chili powder, onion powder or smoked paprika as extra touches – customize these seasonings based on what else will accompany this dish when serving it to guests!

How can I ensure the rooster cooks evenly? Pounding it into thickness will speed up and even out its development faster and further evenly, so use a meat mallet or rolling pin to use thicken half of chicken as you use plastic wrap or parchment paper as shield against any splattering from thickened area pound it all to thickness (I usually skip this step and find they still turn out successfully, it is completely optional!). I usually skip it myself though and have found success without this step being implemented either.

Can this system work for bone-in chicken breasts? Absolutely, though you should allow for additional cooking time (ie 5-10 min), make sure the internal temperature reaches desired before serving!

Prep Time for Dinner Prep and 20-Minute Assembly Time are both within this 30 Minute Range

Timing for this Recipe is 30 minutes with 6 Servings; Components include one tablespoon olive oil.
1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (1 to 1.5 inches thick). Add 3/4 teaspoons of constructive sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, paprika and black pepper as needed to season.
Instructions Preheat the oven to 400oF and pour olive oil directly onto a rimmed baking sheet, spreading it out before adding chicken breasts – turning each over so both sides become coated by olive oil!

Mix salt, garlic powder, paprika and pepper together in a small bowl until evenly mixed; stir the mixture again before applying half to one of the breasts of rooster and massaging spices into its meat before flipping and scattering remaining spices across other side and massaging into each breast.

After 30 minutes at 400oF have passed, use a meat thermometer to check on your chicken for doneness – smaller breasts could even be ready after as little as half an hour, although most need an average 20-25 minutes depending on thickness (1 inch breasts are typically cooked after about 20 minutes while 1.5-inch ones may take closer to 25). Be sure that its internal temperature reaches at least 160oF prior to taking them out of the oven – then turn over and cook further 5 minute intervals until doneness has been attained!

Allow rooster breasts to rest on a pan for 5 to 10 minutes after taking them from the oven, so they may cook and reach an internal temperature of 165oF before you slice and serve them. Any leftover chicken could also be stored in an airtight container in your fridge for three to four days if possible.
